DSP MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHY

Live Performance & More

"A very subtle difference can make the picture or not."

Annie Leibovitz - Rolling Stone Magazine Photographer

What are your music photography needs?

Whether you are a solo singer-songwriter or an 11-piece jazz-funk band, a concert venue or festival producer, an artist manager or a publicist, a print magazine or on-line blog, or maybe an electric guitar manufacturer, DSP has you covered for all of your professional photography needs.

Performance

When you want to preserve a moment in a single still image, no stage is too small or too big for DSP. With many years of experience, DSP offers a quality level and attention to detail that your project deserves.

Promotion / Publicity

Are you looking for an evocative lead image for your EPK, a compelling photo for album art or for merch collectibles? DSP would love to collaborate with you.

Behind The Scenes / Touring

Your fans experience your on-stage story, but do they know your backstage or recording studio story? How about tour life? Why not tell them about it? Better yet, why not show them?

Festival / Venue Crowd

Fact: People love to see photos of people - especially themselves. Fans love crowd shots. This intrigue and energy should not go un-utilized by artists, event promoters, or publications.

Gear / Endorsements

Are you a music gear manufacturer, and need some killer photos of the artists who use and/or endorse your products? Why not have those artists captured in their best light, using your stuff?

Katie H. - Marketing Manager

Salvage Station - Asheville, NC

"David has been the Salvage Station house photographer for several years and is always coming up with new and creative ways for us to maximize our partnership. He is a true professional and never fails to exceed my expectations with his exceptional photography skills, attention to detail, timeliness, reliability, and knowledge. He is fabulous to work with.”

"Every picture tells a story, don't it?"

(Rod Stewart)

So... You think you need some killer photos, but...

Is there a story you are trying to tell through your marketing?

Do you understand usage rights and licensing fees?

What will the return be on your investment?

David is not only committed to producing world-class music photos for his clients, but he also wants to ensure that there is a well-defined purpose behind their projects, and that his clients understand the intricacies and nuances of image usage, licensing, and pricing.

When all is said and done, he wants his clients to get the maximum return on their investment, and he goes above and beyond the call of the art form to do it.

That's all sounds great, but how much will it cost for a photo shoot?

The answer is... It depends.

Prior to providing a quote, David wants to ensure that we're all on the same page when it comes to expectations, both on a creative (content) and commercial (licensing) level.

To start the process, get your FREE mini eBook, "Music Photography - Image Usage, Pricing & Licensing", along with two bonus downloads that will help you prepare for your photo shoot, whether you collaborate with DSP or not.

David is here to help.

About David Simchock

NEWSFLASH!!!

After a few years of retirement, David has dusted off an old project that has been sitting idle and off-line since 2018, reviving his once-popular music e-zine, Front Row Focus!

The new FRF has been re-purposed and re-designed to optimize the integration of the site with David's main DSP business services.

No longer a mere "e-zine", but still containing gig reviews and previews, FRF 2.0 takes David's music photography offerings to another level, further differentiating DSP in the crowded music photography world.

"We human beings remember 20 percent of what we hear, 30 percent of what we see, but 50 percent of what we both see and hear."

Chet Holmes - Author

The music business isn't all about music.

Sometimes, it takes more than catchy melodies and heart-wrenching lyrics to get noticed.

In today's social media world, you're more likely to get the attention of your fans and followers with compelling visuals than your are with a screaming guitar solo.

Your choice of imagery in your marketing should complement your music or written words, and should not be an afterthought or, worse, a reflection of a lack of attention to detail, quality, and professionalism.

Isn't it worth making photography a priority, and investing in top-quality images that will bring in new fans, ticket-buyers, or readers?
